BUD Creates Double Redstone Drops When Activated

While trying to update a Block Update Detector, I discovered this glitch. I searched 14w25b BUD Glitch and found no results, so I figured I would try to post it here. What was happening was when I placed a redstone dust on top of the redstone block in the BUD, it would break the redstone dust and produce two redstone dust drops. To recreate this, use 6 slime blocks(S), a sticky piston(P), an empty space(N), and a redstone block(R) in this formation:

S S S
S N S
S R P

Then, place a piece of redstone dust on top of the redstone block.

And to reiterate, if this is a duplicate, I searched for "14w25b BUD Glitch" with no search results. Thanks!

Cannot reproduce according to your description.
If built vertically, the whole stack extends, if build horizontally nothing happens (quite expecting...)
Please attach screenshots.

I will get those for you in a second. It was built horizontally, not vertically.

Files attached.

Can still not confirm.
What's the build order ? I placed slime blocks, piston, redstone block, redstone dust in that order.

Also, this only happens when the redstone dust is placed on the redstone block. If it is placed on the slime block, only one redstone dust drops, not two.

There is a 1 block gap of air. After that, just sandstone. Does it work as a block update detector for you or not?

Finally confirmed with a floating setup.

Okay. It wasn't working for you before because the slime blocks weren't able to move all of the blocks they were touching. That explains a lot.

Yes works as BUD, blocks placed near the piston are detected.

Okay. Also, I have tested this with redstone dust and redstone torches so far. Only the redstone dust creates double drops.
