So it is possible to give yourself 126 potions in one stack which I assume is a bug.
Steps to do it:
1. Run these commands into the chat: (I chose the potion of weakness because I was playing around with them)
/give @p potion 64 16456
/give @p potion 63 16456
2. Place a dispenser and shift-click the full stack of potions into it.
3. Take the other stack and click on the stack in the dispenser
4. You should have 126 potions in one stack

I think it's actually 127, I'd check again.
64+63=127
I like the numbers 4, 8, 16, 32, 48, 64, 80, 128, 256, 512, that's why I know.
64+64=128-1=127, thus 64+63=127, not 125.
Apparently it also places one potion down too so it's 64+63-1=126. I'll change it. I like binary numbers too 😃
Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases. If this has been done, we can reopen the issue.
