16x16 area Dark area opens to bottom of world believe it goes to ceiling. building next to it causes same black color on new blocks
*What I expected to happen was...:Flat cobblestone area
Bottom is blue but can see into caverns in wall
Render was at 16 chunks changed to 10, no help. reboot= no change
What actually happened was...:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. unknown, Entering game after several time, this time this part did not render this time
2. ...It is now part of the world.
3. ...Part 2. Found that part of a mountain in the same vicinity i removed blocks but on reboot they are back

Let me guess, you loaded your world in 14w26a/b and updated to 14w26c completely ignoring the warning Dinnerbone gives you to backup your worlds

I log on, play, log out. if it updated i didn't know when it happened. as for backing up, i have never heard if mine craft was able to be backed up. I have no problems with the game. I just thought it was a bug you would like to know about. sorry to have bothered you.

Ok sorry its just that its flodded with people who are stupid and complaine when they ignore directions. How to back of saves: Go to start. Type in %appdata%. Roaming. Open .minecraft. Open saves folder. Find your world file. Right click it and click copy. Then paste on your desktop. Thats how you make back ups. As for your issue this is a chunck error. MCedit can fix this up no problem. Hope this helped

Thanks for the info.,had to go online to find the pcs. Similar to your save info. like I said, its no problem i just start a new world. I could have worked around the hole. I couldn't fall in any way and it was by one of my three houses. it was just a curiosity. Seen it before just not as bad. luck with the rest of your stuff.
