Cannot reproduce this in any way.
When setting the switches like in your screenshot either the piston is retracted or the redstone lamp is off.
What's below the piston ?

Either air or sandstone, most likely. I tried with only 1 lever and it still happened with sandstone under it. It happens by itself, too.
Edit: I did it by itself and still happens with just a lever and sticky piston, it really doesn't have to do with the lamps I just noticed it while randomly placing blocks and decided to report it.

This is not a permanent visual glitch, so it is unlike MC-127.

can confirm in 1.8 the base shows it's not extended when reteacting
see screenshot, it's just a split second when it's retracting
(only tested in multiplayer)

This was fixed in 15w38a or b. Behavior in that snapshot looked good. It was replaced in 15w39a, b or c by MC-89907.
