It appears they like to get stuck in fence corners for sure. I'm using 1.8 -Pre.
This is a bug that affects all animals, as far as I can tell. I've seen it happen with not just rabbits, but cows, sheep, and chickens. Cram enough chickens into a small enough area, and you'll get groups of them trying to occupy the same spot in a corner.
Happening for me in 1.8 and 1.8.1 pre-release 1.
