When i play Minecraft, i get the new update like 2 weeks after it comes out!My freind has Minecraft, and he got it before me, the 1.4.5, he got it 3 weeks before me,i never get the updates on time.It even happend today, no 13w01a.

It happend when i first started playing minecraft, i started at 1.2.5, a week later 1.2.6 came out, i didnt get it intill 2 weeks after, same with all the other updates!I dont think theres a way to fix it though.

Snapshots and pre-releases are not distributed via the launcher. The downloads can be found on mojang.com

idk how to download them, and im talking about ALL the snapshots/updates,
not the prereleases

Just a question, who makes the updates?

You must have a diffrent time zone!

Two things:
1. 1.2.6 does not exist.
2. Snapshots are not automatically downloaded. Go to mojang.com, download the client minecraft.jar and replace .minecraft/bin/minecraft.jar with it. Also, delete .minecraft/bin/META-INF.

whaterver that was an entire year ago how would i remember 1.3.1 there
