Minecart Rails glitch out

I was trying to launch a minecart off a one block tall platform (See image one), when the minecart went backwards. I took the minecart off and tried it again, and that's when I saw the problem. The rail was flipping backwards (See image two)! I tried to do it again and the same thing happened. If you want to replicate this than look at the pictures and do what you see and just push the button.
