When traveling to the end (for the first time), I get the following error in multiplayer:
Internal Exception: io.netty.handler.codec.DecoderException: java.io.IOException: Packet 0/38 (jn) was larger than I expected, found 24576 bytes extra whilst reading packet 38
The problem only happens when I go through an end portal. After it happens, connecting as the same user repeats the error. I tried restarting the server, and that didn't help.
I restored to my last backup, and repeated the process. The same error occurred. Looking at my user in NBTExplorer, I see Dimension=1, so presumably I went to the end but something about rendering the end causes the error.

I get a similar error when I try to go through a nether portal. This nether portal worked in previous snapshots.
Internal Exception: io.nettty.handler.codec.DecoderException: java.io.IOException: Packt 0/38 (jn) was larger than I expected, found 157696 bytes extra whilst reading packet 38

Not sure if the seed is required, but I was able to reproduce the problem from scratch by doing the following:
1) delete my world folder and put level-seed=4031384495743822299 into my server.properties file
2) Jon the server, go to creative mode, and tp to 860 35 -421
3) Put eyes-of-ender into all the slots of the ender portal
4) Go through the portal
