Confirmed. I recommend clarifying the bug title to your description. "slpash potion bug" is pretty vague and could mean anything

Is this really a duplicate or a bug that reports on direction rendering? I think the main issue is that the potion doesn't match the colour of the potion thrown.

Appears to be a dupe. You can obviously tell by the list of reports that MC-57861 is duped by. Some of them do talk about the potion thing.

Yes. Will separate the direction issue from the colour issue, MC-57926 is base ticket now.
