When VBO is turned on, chunks load weirdly and the game freezes

I can confirm. Same happends to me.
CPU: i5-4210M
VGA: HD 4600
JAVA: Java 8 Update 25
OS: Windows 8 64 bit

With latest VGA drivers and JAVA available for now.

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases. If this has been done, we can reopen the issue.
