at first, it just lags a bit, you'll place a block, then the texture appears slightly later, or you can remove a block, and the texture disappears slightly later. But sometimes the texture never disappears, or never re appears, and you need to reload the chunks, and it'll either fix it, or this'll happen, as seen on the attached picture.

I'm also having this problem, although I'm new to the site and am having difficulty uploading screenshots. Any time I place or remove a block, the textures remain unchanged for a while, making phantom blocks when removing, and invisible blocks when placing. The textures eventually update themselves, after a period of anything from a few seconds to around a minute.
