It's an odd world gen bug

I started a new world, and first thing I wanted to do was play around with the new things added into the snap shot so I did, (I spawned in a ice plains biome)after more exploring I noticed a string of chunks were not snowy, continued on and noticed the strings became more frequent and I ran into some random leaves next to on of these strings of chunks that were part of the ice biome but werent affected by snow or anything and walked next to those leaves, it was like there was an invisible tree there, more walking i found a random water source and I dug around it and I could stand on it like a block also it seemed block updates did nothing to this source block, keep in mind all this weird stuff happened within the strings of messed up chunks and no where else, I took screen shots but I don't know how to post those on here
