I use a resource pack with no changed textures, and the player head texture is jacked up. Also, there is no sound when placing a head even in the default pack.
Environment
Windows 7 Home Premium, Java 1.7.0_51, i5-2500K processor, 8GB RAM.

It's the Default Resource Pack from this link: http://download703.mediafire.com/q17o8sl4qkdg/rc7t1774ja6kcwr/Default+Resource+Pack+%281.7.10%7C14w30c%29.zip
(I didn't modify any textures)
Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases. If this has been done, we can reopen the issue.
Keep in mind that the "Resolved"-Status on this ticket just means "Answered", and that we are waiting for further information on whether this issue still exists or not. We will reopen it as soon as the requested information has been delivered.
Please attach your resource pack.
