Have a slope (stairs, half slabs, snow, etc.) that is directly adjacent to a wall of solid blocks at least 3 high.
Push yourself against the wall while also trying to move up the slope.
The highlighted red blocks (see attached screenshots) will prevent you from moving up the slope. You must step away from the wall slightly in order to move freely up the slope.
Delete the highlighted blocks and you can move freely up the slope even when pushed against the wall.

Apologies for the dupe! Glad to see this is resolved 🙂 Cheers.

Re-open this issue!
As explained on MC-65360; this is not a dupe of MC-61245 which pertains to the hitbox of placing stair blocks but that is not the collision issue which is happening here, which is caused by "catching" on what should be completely flat walls - another way you can test this is by using half-slab stairs which have the same issue, if you walk into them at a 45deg angle you will "catch" on the wall and it will block your movement - this is not the same behaviour as in previous versions of the game and is not the same issue as MC-61245.

Zuriki seems to be correct. I've just tested this with half slabs and snow blocks, and the same problem occurs there as well.

I've greatly simplified my original report and have uploaded new screenshots that should clearly demonstrate the problem, and hopefully show that it does not appear to be strictly limited to stairs.

Reopened.

Confirmed for 14w32a

Why is this closed? It is still present in 14w32b.

Zuriki Lee, future version doesn't necessarily mean the next snapshot.
