[MC-65246] Pistons not pushing slime blocks when sideways?

Whenever I place a piston facing sideways while it is on the ground, it won't push any slime blocks. It will push any other block and it will work facing up, but it won't push it sideways.

The slime block has to be in the air or have an empty space in between the slime block and the ground.
