If a colored glass is placed onto the beacon just as the beacon's beam color updates, the beam will be white, instead of the color of the glass

I was playing around in creative and trying to see how fast I can get the beacons beam to "blink" (change colors) using Cyan Glass and Black glass. I set up the timers to issue pulses to each of the pistons pushing a block of stained glass one way or the other. When the pistons pushed the glass just as the beam's color updates, the beam went white, instead of the color it's supposed to be. The entire setup can be seen in the images I've attached

In 14w33a the beam update is instant. Can you replicate this bug?

Highly doubt it, as the bug relied on beacon update intervals and the fact that the glass changed upon the beacon updating, which threw it off as it was supposed to change colour, but, either there was no block above it at the moment, or was the same colour as before, confusing it. I've seen rainbow beacons on the minecraft subreddit, so I doubt it's replicable in 14w33a

So you're saying this is now fixed?

I would like to report the bug as still existing in 1.8.8. I added a short video for demonstration.

That's a different bug, one that's likely to never be fixed - blocks, while being moved with pistons, don't have many of their properties. This issue was about the beacon beam staying white even after the block had settled.
