When opening a new single player world, if you were to set the render distance greater than 12 chunks my game would stop loading chunks and cycle through a bunch of chunks in the distance as if they were on a type of loop. I haven't tried multi-player to check if this would happen. Not sure if its just my client or if it happens to multiple people.
