When in Adventure mode or survival mode if you hit the armor stand multiple times sometimes they give you you more than one. (1-3 usually)
I've spent about 30 minutes and I started with one and got up to 73. It is very consistent for me.

It is fast clicking, I have a doubleclick button on my mouse.
Happens in any gamemode as long as you click fast enough... (a clicking macro makes TONS)
