Well I posted this 3 months ago but it still hasn't been looked at by any mods so I'm considering it lost between the cracks. The fireworks star in the creative menu is non-functional. A firework created with it will not explode at the top of it's flight. One made with a manually created fireworks star will. This applies to the latest snapshot (14w32a) as well as 1.7.9 and every snapshot as far back as 14w17a at least. This is very simple to verify so please mark it as confirmed as soon as possible. And figure out why some bug posts are invisible to moderators' searches.

Not sure it counts as a dupe if the first ticket hasn't been answered after 3 months. I'd consider that abandoned.
