Fireworks Star in creative inventory non-functional

Crafting a firework with the fireworks star provided in the creative menu makes a non-exploding firework. The resulting firework is exactly the same as it would be if you left the star out (made a firework out of 1 paper and 1 gunpowder).

Steps to reproduce: get the fireworks star from the creative menu, as well as a handful of paper and gunpowder. Craft a firework out of just 1 paper and 1 gunpowder. Then craft a second firework out of 1 paper, 1 gunpowder and the creative fireworks star. Test both. Neither will explode. Try making a proper basic firework star (1 gunpowder and 1 dye) and making a firework out of it. It will explode as expected.

What are you talking about? I can assure you I haven't changed any particle settings.

Wait, are you trolling? I've seen you post "can not reproduce" messages on other bugs today and I could reproduce them.

Ok forget I asked. Some of those might be a case of not using the exact code included in the "how to reproduce" section. They got the code wrong so if you just typed the code how you know it instead of word for word what they posted I can see how you could get a "cannot reproduce" result.

Now explain what particle settings you're talking about? The regular firework produces an explosion so it's not like I have particles turned off. Also the star in the creative menu claims to be a light gray dye star and the regular firework I built was made with light gray dye so they should produce the exact same result but they don't.

EDIT: I take it back, you are clearly a troll. One of your other random messages was "your video card is broken" in reply to something that had no error log attached and the bug wasn't related to video stuff. You're just spouting random phrases. Many tickets have you as the first reply and it's usually obvious bulls**t or complete non-sequiturs.

Can someone mark this as confirmed already?!? It's been 2 months and no one has bothered to look at the ticket in the first place. It's like 5 seconds to confirm.

1) a firework rocket is gunpowder - paper - fireworks star, but vertically.

2) a firework star is dye and gunpowder.

3) a rocket made with a manually made star will work, one made with the star in the creative menu won't work. And by work I mean explode in the sky. It will still go up without exploding.

Take the 5 seconds to do it. And then mark this confirmed.

Please mark as confirmed already!

Works As Intended / Invalid
Like the creative firework, the firework star has no NBT Data stored, and therefor will not cause any kind of fancy explosion whatsoever.

Wait so you're saying it's a blank template that people are supposed to add to? But it's icon is a light gray fireworks star which is misleading if the light gray dye is missing. At least if it's a special object that only exists in creative give it it's own special "blank ball" icon rather than the wrong icon.

Well ok I guess I can accept that it "works" even if it's highly misleading.
