Turning redstone texture glitched out.

Like MC-67251, whenever I place down redstone, it's turned texture is glitched out and broken. Here are some more screenshots. No texture packs, no 3d model pack.

Also, in the attachments, is a texture I got in a server for a lit pumpkin, this I did have the 3d model pack and my own pack (which just changes foliage colour) but the 3d one wouldn't work in 1.7.10 (because, you know, 1.8). The texture was recreated in photoshop.
