Chunks not generating and need to reinstall the game after trying snapshots

The games generates only 1-2 chunks and then stops generating them. When trying to leave the game it freezes and, at the next start, with every version of the game (snapshots, vanilla, modded), the game won't load any save (also the ones not opened/created with the snapshot) and crashes. The only solution to make the game load the saves again is to delete the .minecraft folder and reinstall the game.
