Performance Issues in latest snapshot

In the latest snapshots (week 34), I have been having major performance drops. The CPU load goes up to 100% on all threads, and there is a major lag spike ingame, while the fps are stable. This happens frequently and is most noticable while moving.
These issues did not occur in previous snapshots, 14w33c played quite smoothly.
