Banner Duplication

i had two banners in a crafting bench at one time (they were the same and stacked together) with them was another stack of the same type but plain. I shift-clicked the copied banner out and was left with just one in the bench (instead of my stack) it ate some of my banners and while they were not very expensive base colors of anything, I would hate for someone else to have this issue. thx
