I created a 1.8 world, the world generated, however, before Minecraft could start rendering anything 3 dimensional, Java failed, Windows closed Minecraft, I started Minecraft again, selected single player, selected the world "1_8 pre release", and Minecraft crashed while rendering the text "downloading terrain".
After trying to load my world many times, my world ran for about 5 seconds, then the graphics froze, the window said "not responding", Minecraft music still played for a time then stopped.
This did not happen in 1.7.10; Thanks ahead of time.

When Minecraft crashed, it gave me the following text (I forgot to include this in the bug report)
