Chunks are repeating and changing rapidly

Whenever I up my render distance to 6 chunks and above the same chunk is repeated in a line for a portion of a second then the same happens with another chunk. it is only a visual glitch because I stay on the y level of the chunk I am supposed to be in. My computer is normally able to handle minecraft at 10 chunks with good frame rate.

The two pictures are only seconds apart I did not move.
