Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a new customized world

Please note that the game doesn't necessarily crash but more along the lines of just freeze up and not respond.

Incomplete without a crash report from ([minecraft/crash-reports/crash-<DATE>-client.txt|http://hopper.minecraft.net/help/finding-minecraft-data-folder]). Please attach it so that we can diagnose your issue.

This happens to me Kumasasa! I just figured it was because the game is getting bigger and there is way much more to save but I noticed something. If you wait a while on the pause menu and then return to your game you will notice some serious lag. And if you repause and try to quit it takes forever for it to return to the title menu if at all because ALL the time it says not responding. HOWEVER if you don't pause the game and instead open a commandblock for an alternate pause of the game, this will not happen and you can pause with the actual pause menu and then quit with no problem. The lag and unresponsive action only happens if you let the pause menu on too long. I tried this on multiple maps, old and new. This is the ending of my log. There is no crash report even though it did say not responding before it eventually went to the title menu. There is nothing that I can see that would imply there was ever something wrong so I have no idea. 😞 Although I find it weird that at Paul it says WARN.

The games needs nearly two minutes for saving:

Please repeat the same situation but before quitting the game force a crash by pressing F3 + C for 10 seconds while in-game and attach the crash report ([minecraft/crash-reports/crash-<DATE>-client.txt|http://hopper.minecraft.net/help/finding-minecraft-data-folder]) here.

Okay I attached one Kumasasa

EDIT: I found something odd. I believe I am in the spawn chunks and there is this one chunk that seems to have fits when I leave and come back. It does it ever so frequently. The chunk is 8,4,-59. I don't have ANYTHING in it. I first noticed it when it failed to load/render light properly it took a while for it to render and I was standing right in it. So i did a test with a redstone clock and sure enough when I came back it was off. Not even stuck on, it was off cold. Hope this info is useful, hate to bother..

Long saving time

The long saving time is always the save process that runs when you pause the game, however it seems that while chunks are still loading when paused, the game cannot finish saving, which eventually results in really long saving times until all chunks are loaded.

Minecrafts stops responding

The reason for that seems to be when the player clicks "Save and Quit to Title" while the game either still loads chunks or while the other saving process has not finished. So the problem seems to be the chunk loading while Minecraft is paused or rather how it is handled by the saving method.

lol I was going to say, since the new snapshot, it's been working awesomely. I always had my render distance between 5 and 8 so I never suspected it. I was going to suggest manually downloading the new launcher because I did, just to make sure it updated correctly. But yeah it's working great for me now.
