Wheat uprooting itself

Did the farm land turn into dirt? If so you might just be jumping, destroying the crops.

Reasons: Too little water, too little light, you're trampling your crops.

I've been playing Minecraft for 3 years now, and I know all the wheat mechanics, so no and no.
