Tall grass breaking texture

When I break tall grass, it flashes up the texture of a peony.
To reproduce:
Launch Minecraft 1.8
Find some tall grass / place tall grass
Break it and watch for the peony texture

*That is not breaking a peony, even though I have one on my hotbar
