[MC-70716] Multiplayer menu makes the GPU usage jump to 100%

(this bug only happens in linux)

When clicking on the Multiplayer button, the GPU usage jumps to 100% until the game is restarted. Only this GUI is affected, and it seems to happen only on linux. Not all linux players are affected though.

Is this still an issue in the current Minecraft Snapshot 15w46a or later? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

If so, Please force a crash by pressing F3 + C for 10 seconds while in-game and attach the crash report ([minecraft/crash-reports/crash-<DATE>-client.txt|http://hopper.minecraft.net/help/finding-minecraft-data-folder]) to this ticket.
