When looking to the grond paintings seem to flicker of disappear until you look up again

Might be a duplicate of MC-65040.
Mine are completely invisible. I placed them on the walls, walked away and did some stuff, and when I came back they were invisible. If you break the block that they are on, the painting drops like it should.
Changed texture packs and the paintings are back... May be a Pack problem and not MC.
