[MC-71941] 1.7 crashes everytime

Everytime i try to play 1.7 my game crashes. I play on 1.8 usually but i have some server which are still 1.7 so got a fix?

The render distance has been set to an invalid value that isn't supported in 1.7.10. There are instructions in that post to resolve this.
