What I expected to happen was...:
I thought that I would be brought back to the normal, blurred Minecraft world title screen.
What actually happened was...:
I found that there was this weird gradient effect on the title screen.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. I have no idea how this bug may have been triggered; I just clicked "Back" on the Multiplayer menu and this just showed up. Minecraft never did this before.

Also, check to see if your video card drivers were recently automatically updated by Windows or any other software and check the refresh rate of your monitor in the video settings.
