I crafted a painting and placed it on the wall. Immediately knocked it off, it shot to the right then disappeared. It happens every time I place a painting and then knock it off. I assumed you can place and knock it off to get it back and re-place it to try to get different paintings to show.

The "Affected Versions" section automatically collapses after it gets to a certain length so you actually have to click on it to see that 1.8 is listed in there as well. It's very easy to miss because of that. I've done it myself. 🙂
This is a duplicate of MC-3706. Please be sure to search the bug reports first to see if your issue has already been reported. The majority of tickets are duplicates and sorting through them consumes a lot of time. Thanks for understanding.
