Chicken bomb

Unable to reproduce (each egg only spawns at most 1 chicken for me).

It might be that I used a egg, not spawn egg. It's only happened once, I was working on a fram and I had one chicken, I throw a couple eggs none spawned and I throw one more and it spawned 5 more chickens

I meant chicken eggs (not spawn eggs sorry).
It seems as if it might be caused by lag, though I'll do some further testing and see.

EDIT: On the wiki it said that an egg has a very rare chance of spawning 4 instead of 1:

When thrown an egg has a 1⁄8 chance of spawning a chick. If this happens, there is an additional 1⁄32 chance of spawning four chicks (instead of just one). In other words whenver an egg is thrown there is a 1⁄256 chance of spawning four chicks.

I've also had multiple chickens hatch from just one egg. Both times I was in a building I had constructed. ie: had a chicken pen in one building where I threw one egg & that produced 5 chickens. I also had an incident where I threw one egg, onto the floor, while standing in a second story building & got 5 chickens for my effort...but this time 4 of the 5 appeared upstairs, while the 5th. appeared downstairs. Nice touch to be able to spawn chickens in greater numbers than you have eggs, & as a bonus spawning them in another area right through the floor of a building...LOL!
