I tested something out, and I noticed that when I was in spectator mode, then creative, my wolves disappeared. What is funny is that you still hear them. It seems to be fixed by relogging, but I want to see them without relogging. Not tested in multiplayer.
(in the images, I pressed f1.) What is funny is that, when in a structure, 3/4 wolves disappear.

You are correct that this doesn't appear to be a duplicate of MC-65040. I am however, unable to reproduce this bug.

Is this still an issue in the current Minecraft Snapshot 15w45a or later? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
