Ghasts in minecarts travelling in a loop duplicated, has not happened since first time, but it happened with 4 ghasts at the same time. 3 of the 4 ghasts did NOT retain their names, and despawned when leaving the area, but the fourth did keep its name and did not despawn. Ghasts could be hit, and minecarts could be broken and picked up.
edit has happened again. Again, no way to do it intentionally, but now there are 2 named ghasts and 1 extra empty minecart on one rail.

Is this still an issue in the current Minecraft Snapshot 15w45a or later? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
This is quite a difficult bug to replicate. I believe that it is caused by entities traveling across chunk boundaries while the world is being saved. I will attempt to test this in the latest snapshot this weekend. I have no reason to believe that it will have been fixed though.
I have a farm with a hopper minecart on a track which had stopped working, when I investigated I found there were 5 hopper minecarts on the track.
This is in 1.8.2-pre1
