[MC-74698] Giant Spawners Won't Work!

Giant spawners aren't spawning anything! I was on hard mode, standing 5 blocks from the giant spawner. I waited and waited, but nothing happened. no Giants where spawning!

According to the wiki they need both a light level less than 8 and greater than 11 to spawn, which prevents them from spawning:

Giants are unsupported mobs, and thus cannot be expected to behave similarly to common mobs.
