Floating Half Peonies

I just updated to Java 8 update 25, 64 bit version. when i started minecraft and entered my world, i found a bunch of the upper halves of peonies floating one block in the air.
they then started to decay like tree leaves after the trunk had been destroyed.
i found them in a plains and a forest biome, as well as in a village.
