Paintings don't stay in spot

Paintings only stay up when the wall behind it is bigger than the painting. Paintings no longer stay when the wall is the exact size of the painting (not smaller). For example, when a 4x2 painting is placed on a large wall and the wall is destroyed up to the edge of the painting, the painting still falls off.
