Guardians are unaffected by Thorns enchantment

Confirmed for

• 1.8.2-pre1 could maybe be caused by how the killer rabbit is treaten (maybe it is not marked as hostile)

Witches are highly resistant to "magic" (potions, thorns, etc.) And use healing potions.
Guardian use lasers and I'm pretty sure thorns doesn't affect ranged attacks.
Not sure about killer rabbit.

I don't agree about ranged attacks because other mobs still receive damage from thorns (Skeletons, ghasts, blazes, even Withers) but the witch's resistance may be intended.

Propably should be closed, too, now that Killer Bunnies aren't officially supported as stated in MC-93038

Reduced ticket to guardians as killer bunnies are unsupported and witches do not do any melee damage.

On what i think is that, since thorns only deals 1-4 damage when its triggered (thorns have a percentage of when it will trigger and it increases in each level but for those levels more than 10 it will be: (level-10)=thorn dmg) and since witches have 80% magic resistance plus thorns cannot be considered as physical damage, 1-4 thorns damage will only deal 0.15-0.5 damage to the witch, in which, that number is less than 1 (half a heart) so it might not be registered as a damage value and then ignored

Guardians deal magic damage as well as witches, maybe the thorns enchantment only works if the damage source is physical not magical

I can confirm, that this bug exists in the newest 1.18.1 version.

How I tested it:

• I equipped 4 piecies of armor all with protection IV and Thorns III enchants

• I spawned the guardian

• I let him shoot me with the beam 30 times - I did not notice him take any thorns damage (no damage animation)

• After I could hit him another 30 times with bare hand before he died (waiting each time to recieve spike damage from him).

Conclusion - guardians in 1.18.1 are not affected by Thorns enchantment for both range (beam) and melee (spike) attacks.

Please, reopen this issue.
