In any version of Minecraft, as far as I know, there is a typo:
"You can only sleep at night" should be "You can sleep only at night"
If you can only sleep at night, that means you can do anything else but sleep.
Whereas "You can sleep only at night" means you can sleep, but only at night.
This is a grammar mistake that I really believe should be fixed.

Lol made a typo while complaining about a typo. He means that "you can only sleep at night" makes it sound like the only you can do at night is sleep. Another suggestion would be "you may only sleep at night".
Go to crowdin.com and log in / create an account, go to https://crowdin.com/translate/minecraft/9380/enus-engb and search for sleep (search button in top corner of the left sidebar on the page), select the correct translation item and upvote the "you may only sleep at night" suggestion by xilefian (towards the bottom of the page). Once this translation reaches the top of the voting list, it will be used next time that Mojang pulls the translations from the site (I have absolutely no idea when that will be).
I don't see what's wrong here. "You can only sleep at night" might not be a problem as it says that you are only allowed to rest in the bed during nighttime, but there is no meaning to me why it should be "anything but sleep at night". (I think because I'm a Malaysian. We speak Manglish, very weird English with other "additional" words and other languages directly translated into English.)
You literally can do anything else but sleep at night, so I don't think I see a bug here.
