The "Diamonds to you!" achievement that once was available in single player is no longer available. Zombies will not pick up diamonds that players throw at them, so obtaining is impossible. Minecraft needs to be a complete game as a single player experience, able to do everything you would normally be able to do in multiplayer. Please add diamonds to the list of items that Zombies can pick up.

None of the zombies are spawning with canPickUpLoot. Try spawning 200 of them in a 1x1 and throw a few diamond swords at their feet. The diamond swords will not be picked up.
Actually I think I've found the answer. Referencing MC-72245: "Zombies pick up items only at 'hard' difficulty if the local difficulty has increased." This is true. I can also can confirm that it also works on hardcore. Going to try to update the wiki so people are aware. This does mean though that only people playing on 'hard' or 'hardcore' can get this achievement. What about easy or normal?

Maybe that depends on local difficulty.
In our mob farm a lot of natural spawned zombies pick up stuff from their already slain mates.
It's a 1.8.1 SMP external server.
Kumasasa, you're the one I quoted from the other ticket. Feel free to close this if it is determined people must go into 'hard' in order to get this achievement.
There is no 'list of items that zombies can pick up', but the chance of them being able to pick up anything at all is probably about 5% so you need to get lucky.
