After the update to 1.8.2, Minecraft will crash after working for what is at most a couple of seconds. Sometimes blocks will rendering incorrectly, such as a missing cage around a spawner, while the entity and particle effects do render.
The crash seems to occur at a Java level? There is no real indication (to me) in any of the logs as to what might be going wrong. The game just becomes unresponsive (audio and graphics stop) and then the default Windows spinner of doom appears.
This happens both for local worlds, as well as for my Realms server. Everything is in a Vanilla state with the default launcher. No add-ons, texture packs or otherwise strange settings. 1.8.1 ran just fine.
Attached are logs of the last local world launch.

When the game crashes, please provide the crash report (found in .minecraft/crash-reports/crash-<DATE>-client.txt
) so that we can diagnose your issue. 🙂
Nothing unusual seems to be happening in the Game Output, and the Launcher Log seems to be normal (updating game) until the last few lines (typical of a crash). These reports only state that there is an error; the crash report actually shows what type of error it is and provides detailed info of the crash 🙂.
