Boat removes snow.

A boat will remove snow layers it is placed/pushed onto, as long as they are only one high.
I thought this might also go for minecarts, but they ignore snow completely.

Could be WAI considering there's this difference between two entities that are so similar? EDIT: ignore this

This may actually be due to boats waving collision with players (you can walk over boats) and minecarts not having this

I thought that small amounts of code could be shown here but I won't do it any more if its not allowed.

Based on the resolution, boats are secret snow removers that don't drop the snow.

So is this a bug? It sounds like its just coded to do this.

Well every minecraft item is different so it must have different code. I may not be a BASIC or anything coder, but i know there are commands like that BECAUSE IT IS IN GAME! WHen you are using /gamerule to change it you do For example: /gamerule doKeepInentory False. But yes it is a scripting bug A.K.A WAI, and to answer ur question it is a bug
