[MC-79420] i cant enter multiplayer servers using 1.7 versons and below the only verson i can use currently for multiplayers servers is 1.8.3 and no other versions works

I could not enter any multiplayer servers on 1.7.9 and below

every time I press on a multiplayer server in 1.7.9 versions and below I could click on the server but everytime it says logging in and about ten seconds later it turns blank and a crash reports come in.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. turn on minecraft to 1.7.9
2. click on multiplayer
3. click on a random server
4. and minecraft crashes after it says logging in

Environment

OS: Windows 8.1 (ver 6.3, arch amd64)
Java: 1.8.0_25 (by Oracle Corporation)
Launcher: Minecraft Launcher 1.6.11 (bootstrap 100)
Minecraft: 1.7.9 (updated Mon Apr 14 21:29:23 SGT 2014)

Incomplete without a crash report, but most likely a dupe of MC-38527.

Besides that, your version of Minecraft is no longer supported. This bug tracker is currently only accepting reports found in version 1.8.1 or later.

Likely your render distance is set too high for older versions.
