I don't know exactly when this happened. I realized that certain option boxes in the menu were missing their text in the middle. Also, when I type in chat, I can not see what I am typing. There is an exception to this: if i make the message a certain length, then i can see it.
What I expected to happen was...:
I expected the text that I was typing to be visible, and the option boxes to have their text.
What actually happened was...:
The text that I was typing was not visible, and some of the option boxes were missing their texts.
Steps to Reproduce:
The procedure to reproduce this bug is unknown

I can't be sure which it is, but both your java installation, and your graphics drivers are very outdated, and are most definitely the cause of your issue.
This is a technical support issue; this site is for bug reports only. For technical support please use the Mojang Support Center.
I would agree with you, but I was already on this update, and everything was fine. Then this happened. My graphics drivers cant be updated, but i will try to update java.
According to the intel website, you do have an update for your graphics drivers here
