Testing the new Dropper block;
it's great that it doesn't shoot fireballs or arrows, but I'm disappointed that it won't spawn minecarts near rails like a dispenser would.
being able to spawn minecarts is a very useful trait that should be copied from the dispenser.

The Dropper was designed with the purpose to drop items. If you want a Minecart to dispense, that's what a Dispenser is for.

I'm in agreement that it should drop items - but if intentionally built near rails, it should spawn a minecart.
dispensers would shoot dangerous items which is an undesired effect,
which is why one would use the dropper block.
but what the block needs to do, is to spawn minecarts while dropping other items.
Why can't you just sort the items, putting minecarts into a dispenser and other stuff into a dropper?
Please stop arguing about this functionality and see this.
sorry, I don't use twitter or facebook, but thanks for the link to the information
second, I'm not arguing, I'm stating facts.
if one were to build a dropper facing rails, it wouldn't be for dropping an item on the track.
tho changing the dispenser could work to, except when I might want something dangerous shot from it.
The intent of the dropper is to drop items and nothing more. Period. Just because you want it to perform a certain way does not mean special functionality should be added to it diverting from its purpose, because other people probably don't want that. If you wanted to request that DISPENSERS spawn minecarts onto rails, that might be acceptable, but this won't happen as it goes against the whole purpose of the dropper.
