I am working on a resourcepack and I just started with 3D modeling.
I created a model for the normal torch. What happens is that the model for the normal torch overides the redstone torch aswell now. If I make it for the redstone torch the normal torch would get the model from the redstone torch aswell. The issue is able to be fixed if there was a seperate file for the torch and the redstone torch. In default the textures from the torch and redstone have the same shape, while in resourcepacks, like mine, can have different texture shapes.

The models for redstone torches are lit_redstone_torch, lit_redstone_torch_wall, unlit_redstone_torch, and unlit_redstone_torch_wall. While the defaults are parented to the models for normal torches, this doesn't prevent you from changing the model files to be independent.
