If u /setblock a gateway, a purple beacon light will appear and if you enderpearl on the gateway you created, another gateway spawns and if u enderpearl this gateway, an yellow beacon light appears.

I am not sure but I think it is intendet, because such a gateway is incredible small and hard to find. I think this light is a feature that should make it easier to find this gateways.

The light is avalaible only when you set block a ender gate or when you throw an enderpearl in it

This is completely intended.

Yellow = Successful Teleport (After First Use)
